INTER-LINK

On 26th to 27th May 2022, Inter-Link collaborated with the Knowledge Transfer Office and provided interpreting services for the “Intellectual Property Forum GBA 2022”. In the event, Inter-Link members provided English to Putonghua simultaneous interpreting for the webinars of IP experts, including Ms. Gigi Chung and Mr. Joseph Yeung from the Intellectual Property Department of the Government of the HKSAR, Dr. Oliver Lutze, Country Manager China at Spruson & Ferguson (Asia), Prof. Yuanjia Hu, Associate Professor from the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences, University of Macau, Mr. Joerg Sosna, Principal of Trade Marks from Spruson & Ferguson, and Prof. Alice Lee, Associate Professor from Faculty of Law, The University of Hong Kong. The six speakers exchanged their ideas on copyright, trade marks, and patent protection.

 

Interpreters’ thought:

The eight interpreters from the Inter-Link team were delighted to provide interpreting services for this event. Not only did we have the precious opportunity to practise our interpreting skills, but we also gained practical knowledge regarding patent and copyright protection, and the concept of metaverse. We have learnt a lot from it!
